Leeds United look set to welcome two players back who not every fan will want to see them back. Leeds are set to see the return of Brenden Aaronson after a failed loan spell at Union Berlin.
He is back on the books mainly because the club were unable to shift him for a satisfactory sum. Right-back Rasmus Kristensen, who struggled during his loan at Roma, is also almost certain to come back.
It would only cost squad space for both players and are needed depth pieces on the squad, even though it wouldn’t be necessarily popular with the fanbase.
Brenden Aaronson’s Return
Now, £25 million man Aaronson is back at Elland Road, but this time as an affordable squad signing.
They have not seen his value increase to the point he could be sold, so bringing him back seems like the best choice.
Rasmus Kristensen’s Comeback
Having failed to impress during a loan spell at Roma, perhaps Kristensen might see the EFL as an opportunity to get his career back on the rails.
This would help cope-up with the lack of depth in the right-back position for Leeds.
They could be shrewd chases designed to bolster the squad without spending any more money, even though they might not all be the sexiest returns among supporters.
