Leeds United are eyeing Ollie Tanner of Cardiff City as their final January transfer move to bolster their squad.
The 22-year-old Tanner seems to be in fine form this year with four goals and four assists in 67 appearances since joining Cardiff City FC from Lewes in 2022.
Tanner earned praise from his former manager Erol Bulut for his dribbling style and left foot, and Leeds believe he will be able to provide an option to change the dynamics in their attack.
The Whites are aiming to recruit a more talented player since they currently have Brenden Aaronson as their sole attacking midfielder.
Competition for Tanner’s Signature
Nonetheless, Leeds might find it hard to get Tanner since Premier League outfits such as Leicester City and Southampton, as well as Burnley in the Championship, are also in the market for the winger.
Notwithstanding the competition, Leeds hope to lure Tanner with the argument that his versatility in the forward zone makes him a great catch.
As the competition for promotion becomes fierce, expect Leeds to tie Tanner in the period before the transfer market ends in order to get one more possible signing who can change the course of the race to the Premier League.
