Leeds United lost 1-0 to Millwall and missed a key chance to return to an automatic promotion spot.
Leeds were outsmarted by Millwall’s strong back four all match long and failed to capitalize on Japhet Tanganga’s goal in the first half.
The loss is bittersweet because it is their second loss and comes just after Daniel Farke had been trying to get some strong performances out of his squad.
Piroe’s Performance Under Scrutiny
Piroe is a forward, but he was off the game the entire time and hardly posed any threat going in to attack.
Even if he netted five goals in the season, that influence from Piroe was nonexistent in the match against Millwall.
His five duels that he went into, he lost 4 and was unable to win a single foul, which are entirely opposite of what Brenden Aaronson was able to achieve.
Piroe’s teammate had his problems, but he managed to make more passes and had two goal scoring opportunities.
Should Farke Drop Piroe?
Fans and analysts suggest a possible swap, favoring a fresh start with Mateo Joseph.
Given Piroe’s limited influence, this change might give Leeds a better shot at the weekend, hopefully reigniting their promotion chase.
