An opportunity for Leeds United in its pursuit of promotion in the Premier League might arise in January, due to the possible departure of Emmanuel Latte Lath from Middlesbrough FC.
The 25-year-old striker nears a price of £20 million considering the 8 goals he has scored in 21 games in the Championship.
According to his agent, the official transfer request has already been submitted, and now negotiations are ongoing with Premier League Club Ipswich Town, who apparently are keen supporters of the deal.
If Latte Lath leaves for the Premier League, then for sure it will be difficult for Middlesbrough to stay in the race for the promotion which is advantageous to Leeds.
Leeds Must Focus on Their Own Strength
Currently second in the Championship, Leeds must make sure they have their own form consistent as with time the quest for automatic promotion tends to get tougher.
With teams such as Sheffield United, Sunderland, and Burnley breathing down their neck, the Whites have no choice but to get the teams losing players within their sights.
While Latte Lath would indeed lessen the forces of Middlesbrough, Farke’s men have to remain concentrated on getting victory and avoiding mistakes as they hope to go back where they rightfully belong that is the Premier League.
