Leeds United boss Daniel Farke might walk away from the club before he’s shown the door and that’s all because of one big name, Jose Mourinho.
The Whites are still fighting for promotion, but recent bad results have made things a bit tense at Elland Road.
Poor Form Causing Worries
Farke’s lads haven’t been at their best lately. Two games in a row ended in draws and that’s not good when you’re aiming to go up.
Against Swansea, Leeds had the lead twice but still only managed a point. Illan Meslier had a rough day, making two errors that cost them big time.
Right now, Leeds are still in the race for automatic promotion, but with each slip-up, pressure builds.
And when things get tight like this, it’s no surprise that people start talking about changes at the top.
Mourinho Linked to Leeds Job

That’s where Jose Mourinho comes in. TalkSPORT’s Andy Goldstein dropped a bombshell recently, saying Mourinho would be a perfect fit if Leeds get promoted. He called it a “dream appointment.”
Goldstein said: “Everyone hates Leeds and everyone hates Jose. Jose needs to go to a sleeping giant, a big club. They would adore him, he’s Bielsa-like.”
Mourinho, known for his strong tactics and big personality, would surely bring excitement and headlines to Elland Road.
But it’s a bold move to even think about swapping managers before the season’s over especially when promotion is still possible.
Will Farke Jump Before He’s Pushed?
Farke has done well so far. He brought stability to Leeds and kept them near the top of the Championship.
But let’s not forget his past in the Premier League with Norwich wasn’t great. That could make the Leeds board think twice about trusting him next season if they do go up.
The real worry is whether Farke will even get that chance. If the club are already thinking about Mourinho or someone else, Farke might decide to leave on his own terms in the summer.
It’s better to walk away with some dignity than be shown the door after doing all the hard work.
What’s Next?
For now, Leeds need to stay focused on the job at hand promotion.
But if they do reach the Premier League, don’t be shocked if big changes happen quickly. Mourinho at Leeds? It sounds wild, but in football, anything’s possible.
