Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has heaped praise on Tottenham Hotspur’s Oliver Skipp, a player who could arrive at Leeds this summer.
Farke said in 2021 he was impressed by the way Skipp played during his loan spell at Norwich City.
This is what he had to say about Skipp and a potential move to Leeds.
Farke’s Admiration for Skipp
Skipp was a key figure as Norwich won promotion to the Premier League under Farke “Really really was one of my greatest wishes” Farke said of Skipp, who he praised for being so consistent, humble and professional.
That season, Skipp played in 45 games, and his absence was painfully felt by the team.
The Perfect Business
Farke has backed the signing of Skipp by Leeds as “perfect business.”
He also saluted the attitude and work ethic of the young midfielder, paying tribute to the way Skipp is ‘giving his all’ and more importantly ‘can listen and learn’.
Whether a move such as this would occur remains to be seen, but it would be a somewhat strange to loan player to a promoted side, especially as it demonstrates Farke’s belief in Skipp to improve Leed’s midfield.
Farke believes in Oliver Skipp and the Norwich City manager thinks he could have a major influence at Leeds United that would see the pair re-united and target success at Elland Road.
