According to Leeds Live, reports suggest Patrick Bamford is in line for a return after the international break.
He sat out last week’s clash with Hull City but could be back for the upcoming clash against Burnley.
Bamford’s Struggle with Injuries
Bamford has yet to start in the Championship this season due to a pre-season injury, leaving him to play second-half cameos.
Although it is unclear whether he will be named in the starting lineup against Burnley, seeing him on the bench could lift spirits for the team.
Leeds’ Striker Situation
Mateo Joseph is Leeds’ current first-choice striker, with Bamford and Joel Piroe competing for reserve spots.
While a proportion of the fan base would happily see Bamford sold, if nothing else he brings Premier League experience and something different to what is already at Elland Road which can only benefit Leeds with an extremely tough season ahead.
Both fans and management hope that the 31-year-old can remain injury-free for the rest of this season, following his recent fitness issues.
