News: Leeds United have reportedly received a huge boost to stay on the right side of FFP regulation after a ‘fresh cash injection’ from Red Bull, as per Football Insider.
Despite enjoying a promising campaign, the Peacocks failed to gain promotion to the Premier League after losing to Southampton in the playoff final.
As a result, it was reported that Leeds suffered a big financial blow and would need to raise funds by selling some stars to balance the books with Archie Grey, Crysencio Summerville and Wilfried Gnonto linked with a move away from the club.
However, Football Insider reports that following Red Bull’s minority stake acquisition at the club, Leeds are set to get an additional capital investment.
The report further claims that this investment should help Leeds to stay on the right side of FFP regulations without making too many sales. Football Insider also states that as a result of the Red Bull’s ‘fresh cash injection’, funds will be available for Daniel Farke to spend and strengthen the squad in order to achieve success next season.
News: Leeds receive boost
So, following this boost, it remains to be seen whether Leeds can manage to keep hold of their stars – who looked set to leave ahead of next campaign.
The Yorkshire club have seemingly started searching for players to strengthen their squad in the upcoming transfer window as they have been linked with a few names in recent times.
It appears Farke is keen on purchasing a new attacker with Josh Sargent, Bobby Decordova-Reid and Silas Katompa Mvumpa linked with a move to Elland Road.
So, it is going to be interesting to see how much money Farke will be given to splash this summer to reinforce the squad. The German has previously showcased his abilities to help his team gain promotion during his time at Norwich.
Therefore, he could also do the same with Leeds if he is given the right tools. Hence, it remains to be seen how the transfer window unfolds for the Peacocks this summer and how they will perform next season.
