With the EFL still yet to approve the 49ers Enterprises’ takeover at the club, the two-time championship winner Daniel Farke is set for the Leeds job and an announcement could come as close as Monday even without the EFL Approval it is suggested.
With Patrick Vieira linked heavily as a contender to take the seat as Leeds’ new manager, it looks set the 46-year-old Frenchman will be managing Ligue 1 club Strasbourg next season.
During Bielsa’s tenure at Leeds’ 2018/19 campaign, El Loco knows all too well the quality Farke’s sides bring to the table, with Bielsa’s Leeds coming out on top with a 3-0 win at Carrow Road.
Goals from Mateusz Klich, Gjanni Alioski, and Pablo Hernandez picked up a vital three points early in the campaign, but it was the Canaries who would top the pile come the end of the season.
Speaking prior to the clash in August 2018, Bielsa said: “Norwich is a team that plays better than the points they have. And they won their first game and I think we will play against them and they will have enthusiasm very high, which is good for us.
“It’s a team that attacks very well. They are designed to attack. It doesn’t mean they don’t defend well but they have a creative profile.”
Bielsa will be keeping a close eye on the German we’re sure to see if he can repeat the great work, Bielsa started to get us back up to where we belong. With the right management and clear ambitious ownership of the 49ers Enterprises’, one would hope Farke would be heavily supported transfer wise and financially if we were to promote back up to the topflight English football.
