As the Championship season of 2024-25 progresses Leeds have been able to find themselves in the 3rd position after playing 15 matches.
Under manager Daniel Farke, Leeds seems to have set its objectives to achieve and it appears to be much better than last season.
Aiming for Promotion
Leeds had already played all of their 15 games by last season, and at that time they were ranked 3rd with a total of 28 points but they were quite far from the leading teams.
This time around, their points total is slightly better with 29 points, 8 wins, 5 draws and 2 losses to their name.
The top three, this season:
Although there might be tiny mistakes such as Illan Meslier’s late blunder against Sunderland that has cost them crucial points, Leeds stays in a good spot.
Comparing Performance to Last Season
In the 2023-24 season, Leeds was trailing a fair distance behind both of the top two teams and it was therefore difficult to set the aim for promotion.
This season though, the positions of Leeds are much closer to the ones leading the table which means that ambitions of automatic promotion without going through play-offs are realistic.
Leeds after 15 games in 2023-24:
With an impressive home form and a hectic festive schedule to come, Farke’s team is keen to maintain the rhythm and try to stay in the top two spots of the Championship at the end of the season.
As Leeds moves forward, every point will be critical, and fans are hopeful that the team’s solid form continues for a successful promotion push.
