Leeds United fans have been told to “take great care” after the club issued a strong warning about certain chants being heard at Elland Road.
Keith Hackett, a former top referee, has backed the club’s action, saying fans should be careful as the authorities could step in.
The Whites are having a great season and are pushing for promotion to the Premier League. But some fans might not get to see the final games if they are banned from the stadium.
Leeds United have made it clear they will not tolerate unacceptable behaviour, and banning orders could be given to those involved.

Leeds United Respond to Solomon Chant
On Friday (14th February), Leeds United released a statement about a chant directed at Tottenham loanee Manor Solomon.
The Israeli winger, who joined on loan in the summer, was targeted with an “anti-Palestine” chant. The song included words that said Solomon “hates Palestine,” which the club has strongly condemned.
The statement from Leeds made it clear that such chants will not be tolerated, and action will be taken against those involved.
The club’s strict stance shows they want to keep Elland Road a respectful place for all players and fans.
Hackett Praises Leeds for Action
Keith Hackett, a former Football League and Premier League referee, has backed Leeds United’s move to crack down on these chants.
Speaking to Leeds News, he said:“Leeds United should be applauded for taking action to stop these unacceptable chants. They have already given warnings, and now they are going further.”
Hackett also reminded fans that surveillance cameras inside stadiums are very advanced, meaning those involved could be easily identified. He warned fans to be extra careful if they are in those areas.
Could the EFL or FA Get Involved?
At this stage, Hackett believes the English Football League (EFL) or the Football Association (FA) are not stepping in.
However, he thinks they will be keeping an eye on the situation. If the chants continue, the governing bodies could take further action.
Recently, both Leeds and Millwall criticised tragedy chants from Millwall fans about Christopher Loftus and Kevin Speight, two Leeds fans who were killed in Istanbul in 2000. The situation with Solomon’s chant is also being taken seriously.
Leeds United have made their position clear, stop the chants or face bans. If the issue continues, it could have serious consequences for the club and fans involved.
