According to reports, Leeds United are looking at the forward Mike Tresor from Burnley but only after the January transfer window opens.
A young Belgian forward aged 25 has proved to be of very little use for Burnley but could be of great help to Leeds’ squad as an alternative to Brenden Aaronson.
The attacker transferred to Burnley in 2023 after having a stunning season at Genk, however at Burnley he has only managed around 19 games last season and this season has not gone on the pitch even once.
It is true that Leeds does not have an intention to make major signings in this transfer season, but there are indications that manager Daniel Farke may persuade the management to bring several players as some are indicated to be leaving the club.
From the other hand, it is unclear as to whether Burnley is prepared to aid a rival looking to secure promotion.
If Leeds are willing to make a permanent offer for Tresor, it would enable Burnley to save some of the £16m which they spent on him.
If the move goes ahead, Tresor’s creative ability would be a major asset to Leeds in their push for promotion.
