Red Bull, the minority owners of Leeds United, have further extended their mark on English football by signing sponsorship agreements with Premier League sides West Ham United and Crystal Palace.
The two clubs now follow in the footsteps of Everton and Newcastle United, who also agreed partnerships with the energy drink giant earlier this season.
As well as a small minority share in Leeds United, Red Bull are also fronting deals as pure sponsorship with no equity stake at these other clubs.
For Red Bull, who regards its premium-positioned lifestyle image as a core asset of the brand is also looking to up their brand awareness through these partnerships in the competitive Premier League market.
Leeds First to Partner
Leeds United CEO Angus Kinnear is proud to be the first English club that Red Bull have chosen to be partners with.
In an interview, he told of how this cooperation would help attract further commercial investments into the club.
Red Bull has also entered into a front-of-shirt sponsorship, to begin in 2024/25 with Leeds.
Kinnear thinks this sets the standard for any other brands who would consider investing in Leeds United.
Red Bull’s Strategy
Red Bull has shown interest in aligning with six Premier League clubs to strengthen its footprint in English football.
The sponsorship of multiple clubs, though without equity, marks Red Bull’s effort to build visibility within one of the world’s most-watched leagues.
