Leeds United are reportedly in talks with Brighton and Hove Albion over a deal to sell Crysencio Summerville this summer, as per Fabrizio Romano.
The Peacocks enjoyed a promising campaign last term as they went all the way to the Championship playoff final before losing to Southampton. The Dutchman played a pivotal role in Daniel Farke’s starting eleven, scoring 19 goals and registering nine assists in 43 Championship outings.
So, it appears the 22-year-old’s eye-catching performances for Leeds haven’t gone unnoticed as he has been attracting a lot of attention from several Premier League clubs in recent times.
Now, writing on X, Romano has reported that Brighton are interested in Summerville and have already opened talks with Leeds to sign him ahead of next season.
However, the journalist says that purchasing the Dutchman won’t be straightforward for the Seagulls as other big English clubs such as Liverpool and Chelsea are also plotting a swoop for him.

“Understand Brighton have made contact to start talks over Crysencio Summerville deal. Not an easy one with many clubs keen but Brighton have started initial talks to explore this possibility. Liverpool and Chelsea have been monitoring him in recent months, still open race.”
It has been reported that having failed to gain promotion, Leeds have suffered a huge financial blow so they could be forced to cash-in on a few of their star man to balance the books.
Summerville has been mentioned as one of the players who could be allowed to leave should their asking price of around £30m-£40m is met by his potential suitors.
The 22-year-old is a highly talented player and possesses the potential to become a top-class forward in future. So, selling a player like him would be a big loss for Farke’s side.
However, the forward would be hoping to play in the Premier League and considering the number of top-level teams queuing up to sign him, he might be tempted to leave this summer.
However, it is going to be interesting to see whether the Yorkshire club eventually opt to cash-in on Summerville in this transfer window.
