Leeds United are getting closer to the Premier League, and now there’s even more good news.
Star winger Manor Solomon might be ready to stay at Elland Road for good if Leeds win promotion.
Solomon was in top form again on Saturday. He scored a brilliant goal in Leeds’ 2-1 win over Preston North End.
Jayden Bogle also got on the scoresheet as Daniel Farke’s team stayed top of the Championship table.
At the same time, promotion rivals Sheffield United had a nightmare. They lost 2-1 to bottom team Plymouth Argyle after giving away two late goals.
That result helped Leeds go five points clear of third place with just four games left to play.
Solomon Could Make Leeds His Home
Solomon is currently on loan from Tottenham, but there is fresh hope that he could join Leeds on a permanent deal this summer.
Top reporter Alasdair Gold has said the winger would “certainly consider” staying at Leeds if they get promoted.
That’s massive for the Whites. Solomon has been in top form this season. He now has eight goals and ten assists.
His skills, speed, and eye for goal have made him a fan favorite at Elland Road.
The 25-year-old winger spoke in January and said: “I love it here. I love the fans. I love the club. I love the players, the manager.”
He also said he enjoys living in Leeds, even though it’s quieter than London.
That shows he’s happy and settled, which is good news if Leeds want to sign him full-time.
Farke Full of Praise
Boss Daniel Farke was full of praise for Solomon after the Preston game. He called him “a joy to work with” and “a top character”.
Farke also admitted Solomon can be emotional when subbed off, but said that just shows his passion.
If Leeds can finish the season strong and secure promotion, 49ers Enterprises are expected to back Farke with transfers.
Solomon could be one of the first deals they try to get done though he might cost up to £20 million, with Everton also interested.
But if Leeds go up, they’ll have the budget to compete and Solomon already wants to stay.
One step closer to Premier League dreams and keeping Solomon would be a big win for the club and the fans.
