If Leeds United decide to sack Daniel Farke, David Moyes could be the man they turn to next.
Farke, who got Leads into the play-off final at the end of last season but lost to Southampton, is feeling the pressure after a slow start to the campaign.
With poor results, including a 3-0 defeat to Middlesbrough in the EFL Cup, Farke’s future at Elland Road is uncertain.
Leeds’ Struggles Under Farke
Leeds United has had a rocky start to this season. The ball in question is now on the pitch.
After a disappointing summer campaign that saw Crysencio Summerville, Archie Gray and Glen Kamara leave, the team is struggling to pick up victory.
This has been exacerbated by his very poor results, with a 3-3 draw to newly-promoted Portsmouth and a 3-0 defeat by Middlesbrough in the EFL Cup.
The biggest pressure on Farke is that he feels he is up against a challenge to bring the team back to the Premier League.
David Moyes as a Potential Replacement
David Moyes, who recently left West Ham after getting the UEFA Conference League tops, has been tipped as someone who could step in to pick up the reins at Leeds if Farke is shown the door.
Former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan feels that Moyes would be a good fit for Leeds, given his experience and the size of the club.
Although his past with Manchester United might not make him very popular at first, his experience could help Leeds achieve their target of returning to the Premier League.
What’s Next for Leeds?
As Leeds United faces another challenging season, the possibility of a managerial change looms large.
Whether Farke can turn things around remains to be seen but if results don’t improve there’s always David Moyes to inspire a push for promotion.
At the moment, all attention is focused on upcoming games to see whether Farke can hold down his place or whether there will be a change in the near future.
