Leeds United couldn’t get the win they needed as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Luton Town at Elland Road.
Daniel Farke’s men needed all three points to stay strong in the promotion race, but now things look even harder with just one win in their last six games.
Leeds went behind early in the game after 15 minutes, but Dan James brought the Whites back with a lovely goal.
Even with lots of chances and more of the ball, Leeds just couldn’t find a second goal.
That means their hopes of going straight up to the Premier League are now not in their own hands anymore.

Below are the full player ratings from the match.
Karl Darlow – 6/10
Came in to replace Meslier. Couldn’t do anything about the first goal. Made a great save in the second half to keep Leeds in the game. Looked steady overall.
Jayden Bogle – 5/10
Not his best game. Didn’t offer much going forward and looked shaky in defence. Subbed off late in the match.
Joe Rodon – 6/10
One of the better defenders. Looked calm on the ball and dealt with danger well. Saved a few tricky moments with smart defending.
Pascal Struijk – 5/10
Strong in defence and made loads of clearances. Played well until he went off with an injury late on.
Junior Firpo – 5/10
Let Luton score too easily by giving too much space. Also gave away a few silly fouls. Needs to do better in big games like this.
Ao Tanaka – 5/10
Usually very reliable, but this time he was bullied off the ball a few times and couldn’t help much in attack either.
Ethan Ampadu – 5/10
Worked hard to push the team forward but made some mistakes. Lost a few battles in midfield and gave away fouls.
Wilfried Gnonto – 3/10
Started the game instead of Aaronson but did nothing to make a difference. Had no chances or shots. Subbed off early in the second half.
Manor Solomon – 4/10
Hardly touched the ball in the first half. Missed a great chance when he got one. Not a good day for the Israeli winger.
Dan James – 8/10
Leeds’ best player by far. Scored a brilliant goal and was a threat all game. Looked like the only one trying to win it.
Joel Piroe – 4/10
Very quiet game. No shots, no chances created. Just didn’t get involved. Taken off before the end.
Substitutes
Patrick Bamford – 5/10
Come on for Gnonto. Tried to help, but didn’t get much of the ball.
Brenden Aaronson – 5/10
Replaced Piroe but didn’t offer much more.
Others (Wober, Schmidt, Byram) – N/A
Came on too late to make a real impact.
Final Thoughts
Leeds United need to find their form again, and fast. Only one win in six games is not good enough for a team trying to get promoted.
Farke may need to change things around before it’s too late. Fans will be hoping for a better result in the next game.
