Leeds United will not have their manager Daniel Farke on the touchline when they play Sheffield United on Monday night.
The boss has been given a touchline ban after he got a yellow card for celebrating too much during Leeds’ last game against Sunderland.
Farke’s Celebration Leads to FA Ban
Leeds fans were happy when Pascal Struijk scored a late winner against Sunderland. Farke was also very excited and celebrated with his players and staff.
But the referee thought it was too much and gave him a yellow card. Now, because of this, Farke has to sit in the stands for the important match against Sheffield United.
Farke spoke about the ban in his pre-match press conference. He said that he only stepped out of his coaching area for six seconds and did not do anything wrong.
He also said he has been a professional manager for 17 years and this is only his sixth yellow card. He did not think a small celebration should lead to a ban.

Leeds Face Sheffield United Without Their Boss on Touchline
Leeds United are leading the Championship table and have a big chance to go five points clear at the top.
But Sheffield United are in second place, and if they win, they will go above Leeds. This makes Monday night’s match very important for both teams.
The touchline ban means Farke cannot be near his players during the game. He has to watch from the stands and cannot give instructions directly.
This could make things harder for Leeds, as they will not have their manager shouting orders from the side.
Farke Calls the Ban ‘Harsh’
Farke said he understands the rules, but he thinks the punishment is too much.
He said players get banned for dangerous tackles or fouls that stop big chances, but celebrating a goal should not be a reason for a ban.
“My players score too many goals. What should I do? Stop celebrating? Even I cannot control my emotions sometimes,” Farke joked.
He also said that he was never aggressive and did not do anything against the other team’s manager.
Leeds fans will be disappointed that Farke will not be on the touchline, especially in such a big game.
Many believe the FA’s decision is too harsh and that managers should be allowed to celebrate goals.
However, the team must now focus on getting a win without their boss guiding them from the technical area.
Will the Ban Affect Leeds?
The absence of Farke could be a big factor in the match. Sheffield United’s boss, Chris Wilder, will be giving instructions from the touchline, while Leeds will have to manage without Farke’s presence.
Leeds will need to stay focused and make sure they do not let the ban affect their performance.
Leeds fans will be hoping their team can still get a big win and stay at the top of the Championship table.
But they will also be frustrated that Farke has been banned for simply showing his passion for the game.
