Leeds United’s Wilfried Gnonto is turning out to be a hot prospect for clubs from Saudi Arabia.
The Italian winger, who is just 21 years old, has been performing at a top level ever since he signed from FC Zurich in 2021 for a fee of £3.8 million.
So far this season, Gnonto has managed to score 4 times and has provided 5 assists across 25 appearances in the Championship, proving to be one of the key players for Leeds United in their fight for promotion to the Premier League.
Leeds Determined to Keep Gnonto

Although there is a rising interest, Leeds are determined to retain their promising winger.
Gnonto committed himself to a lengthy contract last summer that extends his stay at Elland Road until 2028.
Parting ways with him would be a massive hit especially since the team has already offloaded Dutch attacker Crysencio Summerville to West Ham.
Coach Daniel Farke expects Gnonto’s genius and artistry to be an asset as Leeds strive to remain top of the Championship table.
Promotion Key to Gnonto’s Future
At the moment, Leeds’ is leading the Championship, though they are only one point above Burnley and securing promotion could be crucial in keeping Gnonto.
Conversely, if Leeds fails to bounce back to the Premier League, his long-term future can be put into consideration.
Saudi Arabian clubs are known to make good offers and are likely to submit a desperate bid before their transfer window closes on January 30.
Supporters of Leeds will be praying that their club does not accept any of their offers so they may be able to retain their star player.
