Leeds United are expected to be missing one of their key players for the Championship clash with Bristol City this weekend.
The Whites are looking for a third consecutive victory to get the win that will ensure automatic promotion back into Premier League but they might be forced to do so without attacking gem Largie Ramazani.
Ramazani Injury Concerns
The fears follow on from Ramazani picking a form of ankle damage throughout Leeds United triumph over Watford on Tuesday, 22nd October.
The talented forward marked a stunning debut by netting after just seven minutes but had to be carried off before the break.
Farke also revealed in his after-match quotes that Ramazani has a twisted ankle and it is doubtful that he will be available for the weekend clash.
Farke admitted after the game: “He rolled his ankle and it was painful. We will have to wait for a full assessment, but I imagine it would be unlikely he is available on Saturday. We are also frustrated because he is in excellent form.”
Leeds’ Battle for Promotion
It would be a huge blow for Leeds losing Ramazani, with the Whites hoping their promising form can continue.
Chasing a top-two spot in the Championship, and with it automatic promotion to the Premier League.
Farke’s side has shown impressive form recently, but injuries could make the task more difficult.
Farke however is hopeful his squad have what it takes to thrive in the face of such injuries. He responded by saying the team would have to lean on their depth and flexibility.
“We have options, but it is never easy to lose a player like Ramazani. He contributes a lot to the team and we will have to adjust quickly for the weekend.”
Farke’s Worries During Watford Match
Farke had to watch on as Leeds won at Watford, but confessed he was already a bag of nerves even after they went 2-0 up so early.
He noted that going ahead early in games often causes teams to relax, which can lead to mistakes later on.
Farke said: “I was concerned when we went 2-0 up, because I have experienced such situations too many times.
You begin strongly, but it is a struggle to turn the game back in your favour.
However, the lads deserved credit for keeping their head and we made further opportunities in the second half.”
Leeds United will face Bristol City without one of their key players this weekend, but they will be hopeful of continuing their winning streak.
Farke and his squad will need to adapt quickly if they want to keep pushing for a top-two finish.
As Leeds look to secure promotion, the pressure is on for them to maintain their form despite the challenges ahead.
