What a result yesterday with Leeds United a year on after playing Wolves at Molineux winning once again! Felt like De Ja Voo with the same scores scoring again a year on, in addition to Kristensen and another red card for Wolves.
Still can’t understand what Wolves were disgruntled at. They were lucky that Dawson wasn’t sent off in the first half for a challenge on Harrison which was very similar to Ayling’s bad foul from Jonny.
We have to believe that they were like that either because they were delusional or because the reality is they are being sucked back into a relegation battle which they thought they’d seemingly got the better of.
There’s a clear reason why they have the most red cards in the Premier League this season (6) because of bad discipline with tackles and behaviour.
It’s transparent that we beat; in my opinion, a really well drilled side in Wolves based on the quality of player and the way they play. It was so refreshing that Leeds managed to take the chances which came our way and full credit to Javi Gracia. Gracia was a shroud appointment in the end from the Leeds board. You never know if it’s judge or luck with them bringing in such a mixed bag in terms of quality of manager sometimes but they’ve got this one right. To last 60 games at Watford is an achievement in itself for any manager who threatens to believe they can be successful at Watford with how brutal they are with managers.
It’s a great start for Gracia and that injection of belief and nouse tactically is totally what this group needed. We look to have much better structure and we aren’t running around for the sake of it. Ultimately in so many words we look like we have leadership again which is what we lacked under the last regime of management.
Let’s keep this going now and continue to grow and build on what we have so far under Gracia.
