Leeds United will monitor Rasmus Kristensen more closely following an encouraging beginning at Eintracht Frankfurt.
After a shaky debut against Dortmund, the right-back who went out on loan for the second summer in a row has played every single minute of Frankfurt’s games this campaign.
Frankfurt’s director, Timmo Hardung praised Kristensen for his versatility and that Shaw could choose to make the move permanent.
That is something Leeds would appreciate as an option for Frankfurt to purchase Kristensen next summer in the arrangement.
Can Frankfurt Secure Kristensen?
Kristensen’s reliable displays, quite particularly at right-wing-back, are a boon for Frankfurt but Leeds supporters may breathe a sigh of relief if his loan agreement is turned into a permanent deal.
With Kristensen having struggled to make any sort of impression at Leeds, a good run in Germany could settle his long-term future outside of Elland Road.
Leeds will also have the option to buy and this would enable them to get rid of a player they were glad for at that point did not fit into their Championship plans.
If Kristensen keeps up this level, it’s likely Frankfurt will take up that option, meaning Leeds get rid of an unhappy player who is unlikely to feature much on his return.
During the season, Kristensen will be under a lot of scrutiny as Frankfurt would want to make his presence permanent.
