The 25 year-old Austrian International Maximilian Wöber has confirmed to Leeds United he will look to stay at the club under the new era of the Farke management team.
To confirm this statement, Leeds Live have revealed how the former Sevilla man is ready to play a key role for new boss Daniel Farke next season.
“The Austrian was commanding and as impressive as he could be in a defence which was badly malfunctioning around him last term. Wober is understood to have made it clear he wants to play on in the second tier and assuming unforeseen interest does not materialise, he will be a strong candidate for starting regularly in the Championship.”
If anyone deserves a great debut mention it is Wöber. His willingness to track players down, support others and make great tackles are all essential Leeds standards and qualities we expect when you put on that white shirt. Going above and beyond is an understatement, this player is a grafter and wants to work hard for Leeds to get them back to where the club belongs.
It is safe to say this is somewhat of a relief and a player that will play an integral part in the overall success of the 23/24 EFL Championship Campaign next season. One to watch for the upcoming season ahead it would very much seem. #LUFC
